Atlantic City Alumnae Uses Purse Power For Puddin’

Submitted by Teresa McGaney-Guy

The Power of the Purse was in full force on Saturday, March 26, 2022, as the Atlantic City Alumnae Chapter showed up and showed out to support Nana’s Good Puddin’, a small female owned and operated business located in the Hamilton Mall in Atlantic County, N.J.

Nana’s Good Puddin’ is a family-owned business that was started because the visionary owner, Samantha Prescott, wanted to leave a legacy that her family, especially her children, could be proud of…And that she did. Nana’s Good Puddin’ held its Grand Opening to a crowd of 20 sorors from the Atlantic City Alumnae Chapter and other business family & friends. Sorors purchased more than $350 worth of pudding. Now that’s a lot of sweet eating!

Family means everything to this inspiring entrepreneur. When asked what motivated her to open her own business, Mrs. Prescott credits her family, especially the “Nanas” in her life for being the wind beneath her wings.

The Atlantic City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was pleased to support this emerging business and pay homage to the Nanas!
