Rho Alpha Chapter brightened the holidays For PA Youth

Submitted by Debbie Pierre and Tania Hall

On Dec. 6, 2022, The Rho Alpha Chapter, West Chester University of Pennsylvania hosted its Annual “Delta Wonderland” event. “Delta Wonderland” is an event where the chapter collects toy donations from students all while engaging them in festive activities such as
gingerbread house contests, hot chocolate and cookies, and singing Christmas carols!

With the help of toy donations from both students at West Chester University and St. Paul’s Baptist Church, the ladies of the Rho Alpha Chapter were able to collect more than 200 toys to give away this holiday season!

The toys were gifted to Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health of West Chester, PA. Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services supports children, adolescents and young adults from birth to age 21 – with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental
disabilities, and emotional, behavioral, and cognitive differences. About 200 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each individual with academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their homes, schools and communities.
